2. Frosted Cherry
Frosted Cherry Pop-Tarts have been making kids of all ages smile since they first appeared on shelves more than five decades ago. Most of these ‘kids’ don’t realize that the cherry filling is made with both dried cherries and dried apples. The others don’t care since they’re too busy eating Frosted Cherry Pop-Tarts topped with both pink frosting and red sprinkles.
3. Frosted Raspberry
The Frosted Raspberry Pop-Tart is ideal for fans of the red fruit of the forest since it’s the only Pop-Tart with dried raspberries in its filling. However, to be clear, the Raspberry Pop-Tart’s filling also has dried pears and dried apples. Equally important – this OG Pop-Tart is topped with both white frosting and red sprinkles.
4. Frosted Blueberry
The filling in Frosted Blueberry Pop-Tarts is made with three different fruits – dried apples, dried blueberries and dried grapes. But, probably due to much lab testing, this beloved Pop-Tart flavor tastes, as labeled, like blueberries. Pop-Tarts also sells an Unfrosted Blueberry flavor for people who don’t like frosting and rainbow sprinkles. Needless, to say, we’re not those people.
5. Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon
The Frosted Brown Cinnamon Pop-Tart clocks in as both the most beloved non-fruit Pop-Tart flavor as well as the number two overall favorite. We’re guessing that many Frosted Brown Cinnamon Pop-Tart fans are also cinnamon bun fans. And, since all elements of the iconic cinnamon-flavored Pop-Tart fall within the brown family, it’s proof that taste trumps color when it comes to Pop-Tart popularity.
6. Frosted Chocolate Fudge
Continuing the brown theme, Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts have brown chocolate crust, brown chocolate-flavored filling and brown chocolate frosting. White sprinkles keep the toaster treat from being completely monotone.
7. Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae
Hot Fudge Sundae joined the Pop-Tart flavor family in 2005 and currently ranks among the brand’s top flavors. It seems like one of the weirdest Pop-Tart flavors on the surface yet the concept works with its combination of chocolate crust, vanilla filling, vanilla/chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles.
8. Frosted Grape
You might think that the Frosted Grape Pop-Tart is a relatively new flavor since it hit the shelves in 2022. However, grape is far from a new addition to the Pop-Tart family. Not only is the purple fruit included in the Frosted Blueberry Pop-Tart ingredient list, but Concord Grape was one of the original four Pop-Tart flavors sold in 1967. Unlike that old-school Pop-Tart, the modern version has white frosting and colorful sprinkles in addition to its grape jelly filling.
9. Frosted Confetti Cupcake
While ‘birthday cake’ has become a popular flavor in both cookies and ice cream, Kellanova went a slightly different direction when it introduced its confetti cupcake flavor in 2017. If you’re wondering how the two flavors differ, we can’t answer that. However, we can confirm that the sweet Frosted Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tart does indeed taste like a cupcake.
10. Frosted Strawberry Milkshake
Fans rejoiced when Frosted Strawberry Milkshake Pop-Tarts returned to supermarket shelves in 2023. We’re not sure if those fans love this Pop-Tart’s for its pretty-in-pink color or its super sweet strawberry flavored filling. However, we are sure that freezing this Pop-Tart is way easier than making an actual strawberry milkshake with ice cream.
11. Frosted Boston Creme Donut
Eating a Frosted Boston Creme Donut Pop-Tart isn’t the same as eating a real-deal Boston cream donut. While both have creamy custard filling and chocolate icing, the Pop-Tart has a flaky crust instead of the donut’s fluffy base. Despite that difference, both pastries are sweet and satisfying.
12. Frosted S’Mores
Who doesn’t love eating S’Mores made with graham crackers, chocolate bars and marshmallows? The sweet sandwich is a summer dessert favorite associated with campouts and bonfires. But not everybody camps out and it’s not always summer. That’s when it’s time to crack open a box of Frosted S’Mores Pop-Tarts. The marketing slogan “L’eggo my Eggo” debuted in 1972 and quickly became a catch phrase during the 1970s. Since that’s the decade when we were in our prime Pop-Tart eating years, combining the Eggo and Pop-Tarts brands is a concept that we fully support. We also support this Pop-Tart’s drizzle of yellow icing and its maple-flavored filling.

Eating a chocolate chip cookie is one of the great joys of childhood, especially when it’s a hot-out-of-the-oven homemade Toll House cookie. But who has time to bake cookies? The easier option is to eat a Frosted Chocolate-Chip Pop-Tart with cookie crust and chocolate filling. And, while it’s not homemade, it’s easy enough to toast.
15. Frosted Chocolatey Chip Pancake
Most Americans consider chocolate chip pancakes to be a weekend breakfast treat that’s best eaten at diners and other casual restaurants. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Frosted Apple Cinnamon Apple Jacks is another Pop-Tarts flavor that reminds of our childhoods – especially Daryl who still considers Apple Jacks to be one of the best cereals sold in America. This Pop-Tart / Apple Jacks hybrid has apple cinnamon filling and white frosting plus green and orange sprinkles.
17. Frosted Cookies & Creme
The Frosted Cookies & Crème Pop-Tart isn’t the only food inspired by Oreo cookies. The popular sandwich cookie also inspired one of the world’s best ice cream flavors. As for the Pop-Tart, it channels the sandwich cookie’s inspiration with its chocolate cookie crust, vanilla cream filling, white frosting and cookie crumbles. And, unlike cookies & cream ice cream, the Pop-Top version doesn’t melt.

Banana bread is different from typical breads like sourdough and rye. It’s actually a quick bread baked with mashed bananas, brown sugar and, occasionally, chocolate chips. Based on its box, you might think that Frosted wild Berry Pop-Tarts are made with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries but that’s not the case. Instead, this wildlicious Pop-Tart’s fruit ingredients include dried pears, dried apples, dried strawberries and natural wild berry flavor (whatever that is). Purple and blue frosting complete the pastry package.
20. Snickerdoodle
The word snickerdoodle is almost as fun to say as a snickerdoodle cookie is fun to eat. Inspired by German schneckennudel pastries, each buttery snickerdoodle cookie is baked with plenty of cinnamon and sugar. The same can be said of the Snickerdoodle Pop-Tart which has both cinnamon and sugar in its ingredient roster.
